capital improvement

capital improvement plan (CIP)

Each funding year, all of the NPIAS (National Plan of Integrated Airport  Systems) airports meet with the NH DOT Bureau of Aeronautics to discuss  their CIP.  New Hampshire participates in FAA's Block Grant Program in  which the NHDOT acts as FAA's funding and regulatory arm.  The CIP is  how the airport intends to use FAA funds earmarked for the improvements  of America's eligible airports.  The CIP is an ever evolving and  changing document as the airport and FAA's priorities change and as  funding levels fluctuate from year to year.  Below are the projects  Nashua Airport hopes to accomplish in the next ten years.  There is no  particular priority of the projects listed here:

  • Reconstruct taxilanes and pavements on the south end of the airport
  • Update the Airport Master Plan
  • Groove, Seal and remark Runway 14/32
  • Purchase snow removal equipment (SRE) (grader with wing plow)
  • Reconstruct taxilanes and pavements on the north end of the airport
  • Purchase SRE (grader and wing plow)
  • Design and construct a relocated Taxiway A
  • Purchase a chassis mounted rotary snow plow
  • Construct SRE (snow removal equipment) building
  • Reclaim and repave Hotel Ramp
  • Replace hazard beacons
  • Design and construct a new air traffic control tower
  • Acquire land in the RPZ (Runway Protection Zone)
  • Reconstruct taxilanes and pavements in the central portion of the airport
